Round Stainless Steel Side Table Oru

The traditional Japanese art form of origami inspired German designer Robin Scholtysik to develop the ORU series for blomus. What began with the design of a delicate and sculptural side table has developed into a complete and functional furniture collection. The ORU side table is the centerpiece of the series. Based on the principles of origami, the table is made of thin metal sheets that are folded to create a three-dimensional sculptural form. The small but important details, such as the laser-cut joints and the gently curved interfaces, give the table its characteristic aesthetic.
