Design: King-Kong (Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini) The King-Kong figures are a distinctive example of playful design expressed through “emotional codes”. They first appeared on classic objects from Alessi’s long design tradition, including trays and baskets, where their expressive forms quickly became a recognisable part of the collection. The figures subsequently extended beyond the table and kitchen, appearing across a wider range of objects and areas of the home. Alessi is committed to bringing the latest cultural, aesthetic, technical and functional research to industrial production, creating products that respond to the human desire for happiness, art and poetry.
