Bread Plate La Mère, Set of 2

La Mère, the first ceramic tableware line of Marie Michielssen, is a loving ode to the (grand-)mother figure and women in general The tableware looks slightly nostalgic but is, in many ways, innovative because of its vertical structure Each shape is unique and hand-moulded All pieces are finished with a glaze in broken white or a warm dark brown, almost black As a third contrasting colour, Marie chose a bold Venetian red The designer consciously chose these colours to create a mix & match of white with dark brown or red with dark brown.
